The New York Yankees faithful continued to boo their own players Friday night, but this time it wasn’t Giancarlo Stanton.
Starting pitcher Sonny Gray entered the fourth inning with the Yankees up by two runs over the Toronto Blue Jays, but that changed quickly when Gray gave up three runs on four hits.

New York skipper Aaron Boone made the pitching change and Gray exited the game to boos from the crowd after he went only 3 1/3 innings.
Gray entered the game with a 1-1 record and 6.92 ERA. He’s struggled since coming to the Yankees in 2017 after he was traded from the Oakland Athletics, finishing last season 4-7 with the team with a 3.72 ERA.
