Celtics Reveal NBA Restart Jerseys: Each Player’s Social Justice Message

The Boston Celtics are taking full advantage of the opportunity to display social justice messages on the backs of their jerseys when the NBA season resumes.

It appears every single member of the Celtics has chosen to don one of the 29 phrases the NBA and NBPA reportedly agreed on as the league looks to spread awareness on a variety of issues.

The team revealed Wednesday what message each player will wear in place of his name upon returning to the hardwood Friday night against the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Celtics enter the restart sitting in third place in the Eastern Conference, trailing only the Bucks and Toronto Raptors. While there are some questions about Boston’s front-court depth, Brad Stevens’ team overall remains loaded with talent and is fully capable of making noise in the NBA playoffs.

If the C’s go on a deep postseason run inside the Orlando bubble, they’ll now do so with the added benefit of drawing attention to important social justice causes.
