Philadelphia Eagles superfan Mike Trout just wanted to enjoy a sporting event on a Sunday night in October. Unfortunately for the MLB superstar, however, sports fans might have hindered that experience.

Trout, a three-time American League MVP and Los Angeles Angels outfielder, was torched on social media as his beloved Eagles defeated the Miami Dolphins 31-17 at Lincoln Financial Field.

Many pointed at the fact Trout was yet again attending a football game in October, rather than leading his baseball team in the MLB postseason.

Injuries limited the 32-year-old Trout to 82 games this season. LA went 73-89 during the campaign and finished 17 games back of the division champion Houston Astros.

The Angels have not made the playoffs since 2014, Trout's fourth year in the league. LA was swept by the Kansas City Royals that postseason, meaning Trout has played a mere three postseason games in his career.
