Celtics star Jaylen Brown was at NBA Summer League on Monday, and he made sure to clear the air on hot-button issues.

The 27-year-old sat with WNBA free agent Kysre Gondrezick and Chicago Sky star Angel Reese courtside where it appeared he took a shot at Bronny James while Boston took on the Los Angeles Lakers.

Brown also spoke with the media about his omission from the United States men's basketball Olympic roster. The 2024 NBA Finals MVP affirmed his belief that Nike played a role in him not being on the initial roster and for not replacing Kawhi Leonard. There was a segment of fans who thought Derrick White, who was chosen to replace the two-time NBA champion, was being slighted by his own teammate. The All-NBA guard quickly washed away that notion.

"Absolutely, I called Derrick right away just to make sure there's no confusion in my love for you and all of that," Brown told reporters, per The Boston Globe's Gary Washburn. "He knew that. He did. You don't always got to make everything public but me and D-White are good."

White didn't suit up for Team USA's exhibition matchups against Canada or Australia, but he, Jrue Holiday and Jayson Tatum will represent the Celtics at the Summer Olympics in Paris. Brown possibly could join them depending on whether Kevin Durant is fit enough to play in the Summer Games, but Boston fans can relax knowing there won't be any internal tensions over USA basketball drama.
