The Boston Red Sox have the chance to improve the ballclub at the upcoming MLB trade deadline.

Boston should also be in position to see another impact hitter return later this season.

Red Sox first baseman Triston Casas last played on April 20 before suffering a rib injury that’s sidelined him since. Boston had to build an offensive identity without one of the team’s best hitters for most of this season. The group succeeded in doing so and inserting themselves in the postseason conversation.

Former Red Sox outfielder Dwight Evans joined Tom Caron and The Boston Globe’s Alex Speier on NESN’s “310 To Left” podcast to share his excitement for the eventual return of Boston’s young talent.
