Mac Jones made sure to choose his words carefully
Former New England Patriots were in disbelief about Bill Belichick’s romance with 24-year-old Jordon Hudson, and it even made its way to the ESPYS.
Cam Newton was on the red carpet and interviewed guests for ESPN. Mac Jones was one of those guests, and the former Patriots quarterbacks were delighted to see each other again. Newton couldn’t help himself and had to ask the Jacksonville Jaguars signal-caller his opinion on Belichick’s romance.
“I need your opinion first,” Jones said.
“I’m like, no, I don’t approve,” Newton said. “I’m not even gonna lie. I don’t approve. But just to see him doing what he’s doing now it’s like…”
“Hey bro, good for him, right?” Jones said.
Interestingly, Jones didn’t actually give a strong opinion. It might have been a wise choice from the 25-year-old since he’s still in the league, and even though Belichick won’t coach a team this season, there’s always the chance the former Patriots head coach returns to an NFL sideline. It probably was best for Jones to keep his opinion to his chest, unlike Newton, who wouldn’t have much to lose giving his Belichick take.
If the future Hall of Fame head coach does return to a sideline, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Hudson in a suite supporting him given recent photos of the couple that surfaced.
