The New England Patriots signed free agent Jaylinn Hawkins in late March after he played the last season with the Los Angeles Chargers.
While the safety hasn't played a game yet with the Patriots, he seems to fit right in. Fellow safety Jabrill Peppers had a lot of nice comments to say about the late free agent addition Wednesday.
Patriots coaches give players points for their hard work during preseason practices.. The hard work that Hawkins put in him made him the points leader for practice, and also earned some respect from his teammates.
"Oh, man, that guy, effort all day," Peppers said about Hawkins on Wednesday, per team-provided video. "He just doesn't stop. I think he won the -- got the most points for practice. Running to the ball, getting his hands on the ball, punching at the ball. Guy got a high motor, smart. Very versatile. He fit right in from the first day so we're happy to have him."

The 26-year-old has 58 total NFL games under his belt. He tallied 72 solo tackles across his first five NFL seasons.
Hawkins seems to be the perfect player to have alongside Peppers and Kyle Dugger and could make an impact during the regular season. The safety will continue to be a player to watch throughout the next coming days at training camp.
