FOXBORO, Mass. -- Patriots wide receiver Javon Baker made it known just minutes after he was drafted.

"Come to the stadium and bring y'all popcorn," Baker said. "That's all I can tell y'all. Bring your popcorn. I make people in wheelchairs stand up."

We don't know about the second half of that quote, but it certainly wouldn't have hurt to bring some popcorn to Gillette Stadium on Monday. Baker, for the third day in a row, made a highlight-reel catch to pop the crowd and send his offensive teammates into a frenzy.

Baker, in a competitive team drill, went up between cornerback Alex Austin and safety Jaylinn Hawkins to reel in an underthrown pass from Jacoby Brissett. It was just the latest example of his exemplary ball skills, adding to an already impressive list of plays.

Baker had some competition, though, as Brissett made a pair of impressive throws to Ja'Lynn Polk and Tyquan Thornton earlier in the day, the former of which showed off a bit all of the 31-year-old's athleticism.

Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo gave his rookie some flak for technically fumbling after his over-the-shoulder catch Sunday but didn't have to worry about that the second time. Baker is still making plays, but he's growing, too.
