Patriots Release Concerning Statement On Christian Barmore

Barmore did not participate in either of New England's previous two practices

FOXBORO, Mass. — Patriots defensive tackle Christian Barmore did not participate in either of New England’s previous two training camp practices.

We now know why.

The Patriots on Sunday released a statement revealing Barmore is dealing with blood clots.

“Over the weekend, Christian Barmore was diagnosed with blood clots. He was appropriately treated by the doctors at Mass General Brigham, who tested, evaluated and treated Christian.

New England revealed there is no timetable for Barmore’s return.

The 25-year-old Barmore enters his fourth season with the organization. He is coming off a season in which he recorded a career-high 8 1/2 sacks.

Barmore agreed to a four-year contract extension with the Patriots in April.
