Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown calling out Nike and Team USA after he was passed over for a spot on the Olympic team created its fair share of drama.

It also had many believing Brown was a bad teammate to Derrick White, who was chosen as the replacement for Kawhi Leonard.

NESN's Travis Thomas certainly was in that camp. During the latest episode of NESN's "Hold My Banner" podcast, Thomas called Brown "selfish" for failing to publicly disclose earlier that he spoke with White and wished him well after the Team USA decision was made.

"You should have made this public sooner that you had talked to him," Thomas said. "In fact, think about this, if you go back in time to the genesis of the Team USA snub if Jaylen Brown comes out and says, 'First and foremost, congratulations to my dawg Derrick White. I'm so happy for you for this opportunity, represent our country.' Cool, right? And then he attacks Nike and Stephen A. and the rest. All of us would understand that more. We would stomach that a little better."

Brown opened up a little bit about the situation earlier this week when he attended a Celtics Summer League game. Brown said he and White "are good."

The Celtics should certainly hope so because they can't have any friction between Brown and White if they look to defend their NBA title next season and repeat as champions.
