FOXBORO, Mass. -- New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft stopped by training camp Thursday.
While standing on the sidelines, wide receiver Ja'Lynn Polk got to talking with Kraft. The rookie was excited to speak with his new owner and see his face.
"Mr. Kraft is great, man," Polk told reporters. "He's coming in here, smiling everyday so I love when he comes in here and I get to see his face so it's all love, man. Every time I get to see him I just show him my appreciation (for) giving me the opportunity to just come here and play ball."
The wide receiver was drafted in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, and while some NFL analysts think Polk is a steal, others believe the Patriots reached for him.

Despite the differing opinions on Polk, the rookie himself made sure to tell Kraft that he intends to work hard moving forward. The public has expectations of him, but he also is going into training camp with a mindset that will allow him to be successful.
"I just let him know, I feel like my expectations for myself are very high," Polk said. "This organization, I just want to let everybody know that each and every day that, every time that I step out here you're going to get the best out of me so I'm going to leave it all out there at the end of the day."
Polk was drafted out of the University of Washington, where he found a lot of success during his three seasons. In 15 games during his final season, he caught 69 passes for 1,159 yards and nine touchdowns.
The 23-year-old made multiple catches throughout Thursday, showing the skill he can bring to the field.
