The New England Patriots decided to invest their future in rookie quarterback Drake Maye.
New England drafted the North Carolina product with the third overall selection in the 2024 NFL Draft. That selection came just three picks before the New York Giants went on the clock at No. 6 overall.
The Giants also could have looked at a quarterback in April and apparently did their research on Maye.
As revealed in new footage from HBO's "Hard Knocks" docuseries, Maye fascinated the Giants during pre-draft meetings, prompting general manager Joe Schoen to check in on the Patriots' plans with New England's executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf.
