The Boston Red Sox have lost four straight games, which matches their longest losing streak of the season thus far.
The hard part of coming out of the MLB All-Star break and not winning for the Red Sox is that they haven't necessarily played badly. Boston held leads but blew them as those games went on.
In their loss against the Colorado Rockies on Monday, the Red Sox were leading 8-7 in the 12th inning. With the bases loaded, Ezequiel Tovar hit an RBI line drive off Bailey Horn that sent the Rockies home with a win.
Boston also held a two-run lead in the 10th inning, but Zack Kelly let up a two-run home run to Sam Hillard to extend the game.

While not coming up with wins has not been fun for the Red Sox, they don't think they are playing bad baseball.
"It’s different," Kelly told reporters about the Red Sox's losing streak, per The Boston Globe's Julian McWilliams. "We haven’t really been in this position all year, really. But we’re not playing bad baseball. We’re in these games and it’s just not going our way. But we still have an opportunity to win this series and get back home for a week."
Many Red Sox players put up strong performances over the weekend when Boston was swept by the Los Angeles Dodgers. Jarren Duran went 6-for-12 with two home runs, five runs scored and seven RBIs in the three-game set.
Tyler O'Neill went 3-for-5 and scored a run against the Rockies on Monday. Romy González went 2-for-4 and Jamie Westbrook had a three-run long ball at Coors Field.

Despite the Red Sox now being two games back from the Kansas City Royals for the third American League wild card spot, they have the tools to turn it around.
