The Boston Red Sox came into Tuesday on a four-game losing streak but walked out of Coors Field with a much-needed win against the Colorado Rockies.

While the Red Sox still have one more game in the three-game series, outfielder Rob Refsnyder talked about the importance of snapping their losing streak.

"Just get a little bit of momentum, going back home," Refsnyder told WEEI's Will Flemming & Lou Merloni after the game. "Obviously try to finish off the series (Wednesday) but it felt like we needed this one. Some people could lie and say that every game is the same importance, but this one felt bigger for whatever reason and the guys did a great job."

The Red Sox got together as a group Tuesday night to talk about the big win. Everyone in the lineup contributed to the win, especially in the first inning when the team started on the right foot.

Rockies starting pitcher Ty Blach hit Jarren Duran to lead off in the first inning. With two outs in the frame, Rafael Devers hit a double on a line drive that sent Duran home and gave the Red Sox an early lead.

On top of the double, Tyler O'Neill slapped a home run that added to the momentum.

"We talked about it as a group, and I think the group did a great job," Refsnyder said. "Jarren set the table, I think he got in the first then (Devers) with a couple big hits too."

Refsnyder had a strong game himself with an RBI double in the second inning and a single in the sixth inning to right field.

The Red Sox will look to keep it going in the final game of the series Wednesday. First pitch is set for 3:10 p.m. ET with all game coverage on NESN.
