The Boston Red Sox cut ties with left-handed pitcher Nathan Landry on Monday, but it didn't take too long for the 25-year-old prospect to find himself back on a professional baseball roster.

Landry signed a deal with the Trois-Rivières Aigles of the Frontier League, the Quebec-based team announced on social media.

Two years ago, the Red Sox selected 459th overall in the 15th round of the 2022 MLB Draft, and Landry proceeded to spend two seasons with the organization's High-A minor league affiliate Greenville Drive. Pitching exclusively out of the bullpen, Landry went 3-2 with a 5.27 ERA, striking out 87 total batters in 82 combined innings pitched with the team. Landy made 24 relief appearances this season and recorded a 5.24 ERA in 46 1/3 innings while also surrendering 27 walks -- over double Landry's total (13) in 2023.

The highlight of Landry's farewell campaign with the Drive came in July when the Missouri product struck out seven batters throughout four innings of relief for Greenville during a matchup against the Asheville Tourists. Landry walked off the mound and back to the Drive's dugout, welcomed with a standing ovation from the Fluor Field crowd.
