Grudge Gone? Tom Brady Shares Moment With Patriots Villain Roger Goodell

Brady might just be on friendly terms with Goodell

In the minds of New England Patriots fans, Tom Brady hates Roger Goodell.

Goodell infamously is responsible for perhaps the only black mark on Brady’s sensational career. The NFL commissioner suspended the legendary quarterback for four games during the 2016 season for Brady’s alleged role in the Deflategate scandal.

Brady can hold a grudge with the best of them — he had a permanent chip on his shoulder from being the sixth quarterback taken in the 2000 draft — but his recent actions suggest he has gotten over the whole ordeal from nearly a decade ago and is now on friendly terms with Goodell.

The Patriots legend was at Fantatics Fest in New York City on Friday with former teammate Rob Gronkowski and the two ran into Goodell. Brady and Gronkowski didn’t give a cold shoulder to Goodell, but instead, the trio posed for a photo.

Brady, who wore a helmet and Gronkowski’s jersey for the photo while the all-time tight end donned a Brady jersey and helmet, shared the picture on his Instagram story, which FOX Sports’ Henry McKenna posted on the X platform.

Brady, with his arm around Goodell, sure doesn’t look like someone who is angry with the NFL commissioner.

That might upset Patriots fans, but if Brady has moved on, maybe they can, too.
