Jacoby Brissett is six years older than the next closest Patriots quarterback in Bailey Zappe.

New England got a youth boost in the quarterback room this offseason when the team selected Drake Maye and Joe Milton III in the 2024 NFL Draft. While Brissett appears to be in line to start for the Patriots in Week 1, the rookie passers are certainly at the center of attention in training camp.

Brissett referenced the clear draw for the young quarterbacks while mic'd up for content during drills at a recent training camp practice with fans roaring after a throw from Maye.

"That's the only person y'all cheer for is Drake?" Brissett offered, per team-provided video.

"Oh, they just cheer for the young people," Brissett added.

While being ready to prepare three younger quarterbacks on the Patriots' roster, Brissett maintains his stance that he's in position to be the deserving player to be the starter for New England when the 2024 season begins.
