Kevin Durant kept the receipts.
Durant and the other members of the United States men's basketball team received some bulletin board material before their gold medal matchup with France at the Paris Olympics on Saturday. After Germany fell to Serbia in the bronze medal showdown, Dennis Schröder argued that European basketball can challenge American hoops since the former is "no entertainment" and "straight IQ."
Team USA clearly caught wind of the remarks Schröder made hours before its clash with Victor Wembanyama and company. Because after the Americans' 98-87 triumph, Durant captioned a postgame photo with "ENTERTAINMENT & IQ."
Schröder wasn't the only former Boston Celtic who caused a stir on social media Saturday. Guerschon Yabusele, a 2016 first-round pick by the reigning NBA champions, had the basketball world buzzing when he posterized LeBron James in the gold medal game.

But in the end, Durant, James and company received the last laugh over the likes of Schröder and Yabusele. USA's hard-fought win over France extended the country's Olympic gold medal streak to five events.
