Matthew Judon is a man of many words, but he kept things short when saying goodbye to New England Patriots fans.
"Thank you for everything, New England," Judon posted to Instagram on Thursday. "Atlanta, we ready."
Judon was traded to the Atlanta Falcons in exchange for a third-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft on Thursday, bringing an end to a drawn-out contract dispute in New England. The Patriots couldn't find common ground in talks about a potential new deal, which led to a public dispute and ultimately a trade.

The four-time Pro Bowl selection was a fan favorite in New England. He was beloved for his role as de-facto social media general manager, trying to convince any and everyone to sign with the Patriots during his tenure. His red sleeves also became stuff of local legend, as he flashed them on and off the field.
Judon wasn't half bad on the field, either, tallying a career-high 15.5 sacks in 2022 following a 2021 season with 12.5 sacks.
