The New England Patriots on Thursday announced six additions to the team's practice squad.

The players added included defensive end Brevin Allen, guard Jerome Carvin, defensive tackle Trysten Hill, offensive lineman Bryan Hudson, guard Michael Jordan and wide receiver Jalen Reagor.

Hill, Jordan and Reagor were with New England and were released Wednesday and were back at Gillette Stadium for Thursday's practice.

The announcements come hours after Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo announced a much more important development. New England will start veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett in Week 1 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
