NFL insider Josina Anderson on Tuesday afternoon was among those to report the Pittsburgh Steelers are back in the mix for the San Francisco 49ers wide receiver.

NBC Sports Bay Area's Matt Maiocco, who published the bombshell Aiyuk report Monday night, wrote the Steelers were out of consideration because they did not want to meet San Francisco's trade demands. ESPN's Adam Schefter initially reported he didn't think Pittsburgh would make the trade, but then Schefter changed course.

Anderson, though, noted the Patriots "aren't giving up" on Aiyuk, citing sources.

Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo deflected when asked about New England's interest.
