Texas Rangers manager Bruce Bochy didn't last the entire night before the 69-year-old's temper prompted an ejection in the top of the sixth inning at Fenway Park on Tuesday night.

After Boston Red Sox reliever Lucas Sims struck out Rangers outfielder Wyatt Langford with an outside pitch, which stranded the bases loaded for Texas, Bochy rushed out of the dugout for a word with home plate umpire Erich Bacchus.

That didn't go well.

Before Bochy could even stand within arm's length of Bacchus, the longtime skipper was thrown out for arguing the third strike call responsible for ending a potential come-from-behind rally and leaving Boston's lead at 6-4.

However, being tossed wasn't enough to silence Bochy.

The four-time World Series champion stood his ground and pled his case to Bacchus. It marked career ejection No. 86 for Bochy, per Shawn McFarland of the Dallas News, and considering like the Red Sox, the Rangers, too, are in the middle of a tight second-half postseason race, the emotions are understandable. Texas entered Tuesday night 8 1/2 games behind the American League West-leading Houston Astros and 10 games back of securing a spot in the wild card race.
