The Boston Red Sox have watched their farm system center around three prospects for the last year.
Now, they're all one step away from the big leagues.
Infielder Marcelo Mayer, outfielder Roman Anthony and catcher Kyle Teel are being promoted to Triple-A Worcester, as first reported by The Boston Globe's Alex Speier. MassLive's Christopher Smith and NESN's Tom Caron confirmed the report.
The trio spent this season together in Double-A Portland as each took legitimate steps forward in their respective developments.

Mayer hit .307 with an .850 OPS while competing for the doubles lead in the Eastern League. Anthony has had a power surge as of late, hitting 12 home runs since the start of June. Teel hit .294 with an .844 OPS while improving behind the plate.
The three prospects will make their Triple-A debuts at Polar Park on Tuesday as Worcester hosts the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.
