The Boston Red Sox enacted a major development in their farm system last week when they promoted their top three prospects, Marcelo Mayer, Roman Anthony and Kyle Teel, to Triple-A Worcester.
One week later, they marched further with their youth movement.
The Red Sox are reportedly promoting infield prospect Kristian Campbell to Triple-A Worcester, per The Boston Globe's Alex Speier and MassLive's Chris Cotillo.
Campbell completely smashed the ball in Double-A since his promotion in early June, starting with Eastern League Player of the Month honors. The Red Sox's No. 5 prospect slashed .364/.466/.589 (entering Sunday) with eight home runs and a 1.055 OPS in 55 games at Double-A Portland. Now, the 2023 fourth-rounder is just a step away from the majors.

The "Big Three" prospects raved about Campbell during their Triple-A introductory press conference and hoped to reunite with him soon. Upon Boston's decision, that reunion only took a week to come together.
