After taking an early 3-0 advantage, the Astros rose to the challenge to get to Red Sox starter Nick Pivetta and produce on their home field. Home runs from Jon Singleton and Yainer Diaz headlined the damage.

Boston fell apart in Monday's loss in a similar fashion. On Tuesday night, Jarren Duran would not be denied for the Red Sox and overcame the seesaw affair of a game.

The day after smacking a leadoff home run on the game's first pitch, Duran completely paced the offense on Tuesday. The Red Sox leadoff hitter got the game started with a hustle double and came around to score a run. In the eighth inning with the game tied at five, Duran once again found the seats in left field with a go-ahead home run after Astros reliever and former Boston righty Kaleb Ort.

Duran finished the night with four hits, three runs scored and a pair of runs driven in to lead the way in a crucial win for the Red Sox.
