Matthew Judon was a fan favorite and well-liked player in the New England Patriots locker room.
That's certainly clear given how many of his former teammates reacted to the Patriots reportedly trading Judon to the Atlanta Falcons in exchange for a 2025 third-round pick Wednesday night.
Several Patriots players, including Josh Uche, DeMario Douglas, Daniel Ekuale, Marcus Jones, Christian Gonzalez and Davon Godchuax went to social media to share their reaction to the news and a common theme emerged: Judon will be missed by those still with New England.
"Brudda brudda. Appreciate everything! Dumb love," Uche wrote in an Instagram story.

It was just two weeks ago that Godchaux, who received a two-year contract extension worth up to $21 million, vehemently advocated that the Patriots pay Judon to keep him with the franchise for the foreseeable future. Judon was in a public, and at times contentious, contract dispute with the organization as he wanted a pay raise since he set to make $6.5 million in the final year of his deal.
Judon, who complied 32 sacks over three seasons with the Patriots, will now try to get the contract he has been after from the Falcons and Godchaux still remains in his corner.
"Go miss u 9! Go ball out in the A like I know u will," Godchaux posted on the X platform.

The Patriots won't play against the Falcons and Judon this year, but if Judon stays with Atlanta beyond this season, he'll make a trip to Gillette Stadium to face New England in 2025.
