Triston Casas got his hits in his first series back for the Boston Red Sox, though he did not do a ton of damage against the Baltimore Orioles.
Tuesday brought a different tone as Casas smacked a thunderous two-run home run off of Houston Astros starter Ronel Blanco to get Boston rolling with an early 3-0 lead.
The long ball marked the seventh homer of the season for Casas and his first since April 19 against the Pirates. The Red Sox missed their star first baseman for 98 games during this season and the slugger will need to make his mark as Boston continues a competitive playoff race.
