BOSTON -- Alex Cora announced a move to flip left-handed relievers on Wednesday prior to the series finale for the Boston Red Sox against the Baltimore Orioles.

Pending a team release, Cora shared that left-handed reliever Brennan Bernardino will head to the injured list with left elbow soreness. The Red Sox manager added that the issue is bone-related instead of ligament-related for Bernardino. In a corresponding move, Boston will activate left-hander Cam Booser after his stint on the IL with left elbow inflammation.

On the season, Bernardino is 4-3 with a 4.06 ERA across 57 appearances for the Red Sox. Booser made his MLB debut back in April and posts a 2-2 record with a 3.00 ERA in 41 appearances for Boston.

The Red Sox took a 12-3 blowout win on Monday night before falling 5-3 to the Orioles on Tuesday night. Boston looks for a series victory on Wednesday night with first pitch set for 7:10 p.m. ET. You can catch the game, plus an hour of pregame coverage, on NESN.
