If anyone knows the competitive nature of Tom Brady, it's all-time great Bill Belichick, who spent two decades coaching the fellow all-time great with the New England Patriots. He addressed the recent controversial comments involving the "not-so-fun" Tampa Bay Buccaneers environment.
"Look, Tom could have fun and he could pull pranks and make fun of people and be made fun of and all that, but when it was time for business, he was all business," Belichick told ESPN's "Pat McAfee Show" on Monday. "Whether that was in the meeting room or walkthrough on the field, there was nothing more important to him than everything being done right -- not just his job but the players around him. The proper timing, the proper alignments, and so forth, and anybody who played with Tom would support that."
Belichick added: "Let me tell you something, winning six Super Bowl championships was fun. Going to nine Super Bowls was fun. Winning those AFC Championship games, that was fun. The fun was really the winning."
Brady's controversy spawned from current Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield claiming that Tampa Bay was a "stressful" spot to perform under the three-year Brady tenure. The expectations Brady strived to live up to in New England made their way from Foxboro to Florida, and it paid off immediately. Tampa Bay went from a 7-9 team to winners of Super Bowl LV, defeating Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, 31-9, to capture the franchise's second title and the first since the 2002 season.

Granted, the Buccaneers haven't undergone the destructive downward spiral still ongoing in New England following Brady's departure.
Tampa Bay improved to an NFC South-best 3-1 after Mayfield, who threw for 337 yards with three touchdowns, led the way to an impressive 33-16 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 4 on Sunday -- with Brady watching from the FOX Sports booth.
