Bill Belichick did a little reflecting Monday night.

The final game of the NFL's Week 2 slate featured the Falcons and the Eagles, a pair of teams Belichick's Patriots met in Super Bowls amid New England's dynastic run. While the legendary coach joked about losing to Philadelphia on football's biggest stage, he brought back some harrowing memories for Atlanta fans.

Appearing on ESPN2's "ManningCast," Belichick recalled some memories from the Patriots' thrilling Super Bowl LI win over the Falcons. The future Hall of Famer remembered being perturbed by a certain sight before New England completed its historic comeback.

"I also remember (Arthur) Blank down on the sideline in the fourth quarter -- you know, celebrating when they were ahead," Belichick said. "...He was down there on the sideline and we were getting beat. I was like, 'Jesus.'"

Perhaps Belichick made a point to needle Blank on national television. After all, the 72-year-old was in the mix for Atlanta's head coaching job over the offseason but ultimately was passed over in favor of Raheem Morris. In fact, Belichick reportedly was "blindsided" by the news of Morris' hiring.

Blank might feel more than content with his decision, though, as the Falcons showed shades of a playoff team in their exciting win at Lincoln Financial Field.
