The Jacksonville Jaguars are the latest team to find themselves connected to free-agent head coach Bill Belichick.

The social media speculation gained steam after head coach Doug Pederson and the Jaguars suffered an embarrassing 47-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Monday night. It was so bad that Mac Jones replaced Trevor Lawrence behind center.

The Jags are one of three 0-3 teams entering Week 4. Jacksonville's offense ranks 30th in points scored and 27th in yards -- not a great representation of the offensive-minded Pederson.

"This is who we are right now," Pederson told reporters after Monday night's loss, per a team-provided video. "And it's not very good."

Football fans can't help but think Pederson is nearing the end in Jacksonville, and that's where Belichick comes in.

It no longer feels like a random long shot, as NESN's Ricky Doyle and Mike Cole recently expressed on NESN's "The Spread" podcast.

The Jaguars aren't the only ones who have been connected to Belichick, of course. Both the 2-1 Philadelphia Eagles and 1-2 Dallas Cowboys continue to surface in social media speculation given their respective starts.
