The New England Patriots worked out free-agent cornerback Caleb Faley, according to a report from ESPN's Field Yates on Tuesday evening.
Farley, who was selected 22nd overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, was waived by the Tennessee Titans last week. The 25-year-old passed through waivers and is available on the open market.
The Virginia Tech product entered the league with high expectations, but injuries limited him to just 12 games (two starts) in three seasons. He did not play a game in 2023 after he was placed on the physically unable to perform list in July 2023.
The Patriots have plenty of depth at cornerback and were forced to make some difficult decisions ahead of their 53-man roster cutdown. But the potential of Farley clearly interested Eliot Wolf and company entering the 2024 campaign.

New England also hosted 6-foot-9, 370-pound offensive tackle Caleb Jones for a workout. The Patriots announced Tuesday they signed the gigantic offensive tackle to the practice squad.
