Drake Maye or Jacoby Brissett?
The Patriots have been facing that question for upwards of six months, and we're sure it's getting extremely annoying.
New England clearly has a plan. It’s repeatedly backed Brissett in hopes that he can get things going in the right direction before turning his post over to Maye. But he hasn't done anything on the field to hold off fans from calling for the rookie.
George Balekji and Natalie Noury discussed the conundrum on NESN's "Boston Has Entered The Chat" podcast Tuesday, with the former giving his ideal scenario for Maye.

"I land on Week 13 at home against Indianapolis, right before the bye," Balekji said. "You give him a five-week sample size, and it gives him an extra week to prepare coming out of it. I've also said, if this offensive line looks good at any point before then, you go ahead and do it."
Maye did get to see the field in the Patriots' loss to the New York Jets last Thursday, but mop-up duty wasn't what people had in mind. It'll likely be a while before he's officially anointed, with Jerod Mayo and company continuing to take the same approach they have all along.
