Trent Brown ‘Likes’ Interesting Social Media Post After Patriots-Bengals

Trent Brown won only four games in his final season with the New England Patriots. Unfortunately for the supersized offensive tackle, he was on the losing end again as his Cincinnati Bengals fell to the Patriots in a Week 1 stunner.

Brown, who signed with the Bengals this offseason and started at right tackle Sunday, took to social media following the 16-10 defeat at Paycor Field. One of his social media “likes” caught the attention of NFL fans.

Brown “liked” a post on ESPN’s Instagram page which highlighted the Patriots’ upset over Brown’s Bengals. The caption commended first-year head coach Jerod Mayo on his first career victory.

Brown’s “like” caused some to question if he might miss his former teammates and coaches in New England. Then again, it might have been as a show of support to Mayo, who was on staff during Brown’s tenure in Foxboro, Mass.

Brown and the Patriots went their separate ways this offseason after the 31-year-old fizzled out both with his buy-in and overall play.

The 6-foot-8, 380-pound tackle showed some of that underwhelming play in Week 1. Brown was beaten by Patriots defensive lineman Keion White for an early strip-sack of Joe Burrow and allowed a Joshua Uche pressure which ultimately turned into another sack for White.

While the Patriots have had their own troubles at offensive tackle, Brown’s play likely didn’t cause New England to regret its offseason decision.
