Bill Belichick knows no limit when it comes to dunking on the New York Jets. From resigning as their head coach before the 2000 season to beating them 37 times with the New England Patriots, no one has New York’s number like Belichick.
The Jets still haven’t figured it out this season, sitting at 2-3 even with future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers directing the offense. Failing expectations early on, owner Woody Johnson and the front office made the quick decision to fire capable head coach Robert Saleh, leading Jeff Ulbrich to take over as the interim.
Belichick slammed that decision during his weekly Monday Night Football appearance on ESPN’s “Manningcast” with Peyton and Eli Manning as the Jets hosted the Buffalo Bills.
“That’s kind of what it’s been there with the Jets,” Belichick shared. “Barely won over 30% in the last 10 years. The owner being the owner. Just ready, fire, aim.”
Belichick, who won six Super Bowl titles as the head coach of the Patriots, took yet another chance to pierce New York with what could have been should he have stayed.

“Undefeated, unscored on,” Belichick added. “My career as head coach of the Jets? Unblemished. Never gave up a point.”
The Jets did dominate the new-school Patriots in a 24-3 final on Thursday Night Football in Week 3.
