Reasons to watch the New England Patriots this season at times are solely around young players. Christian Gonzalez is definitely one of them.
The second-year cornerback continues to lock down elite receivers in each matchup with several of them to think about in the AFC East. That continued when the New York Jets traded for an old friend for Aaron Rodgers in Davante Adams.
Adams caught four passes for 54 yards in Sunday’s loss to the Patriots and Gonzalez held his ground when matched up against the stellar wideout. So, how did he feel about the outing when speaking with reporters?
“We won,” Gonzalez said as he shook his head.
Gonzalez made six tackles in the game as the Patriots earned the comeback victory with a go-ahead touchdown from Rhamondre Stevenson with less than a minute remaining. New England earned its second win of the season with work to do ahead.

“It’s a win but we gotta string them together,” Gonzalez added.
The Patriots visit the Tennessee Titans, who just traded away star receiver DeAndre Hopkins, in Week 9 with Gonzalez looking to stay in rhythm.
