The Boston Bruins host Original Six rival Montreal Canadiens in their home opener at TD Garden on Thursday night. To help kick off the home schedule, several New England Patriots players picked their favorite Black and Gold jersey.

Arguably, the best part of the social media post was watching defensive end Deatrich Wise Jr. hum the Bruins goal song “Zombie Nation” as he hit the clothing rack with a hockey stick.

Wise, Marcus Jones, Christian Gonzalez, Brenden Schooler, Raekwon McMillan, Kendrick Bourne, Antonio Gibson and others picked jerseys from the classic eight Spoked-B, the Bear head alternate jersey, several of the Winter Classic jerseys and the Centennial jerseys from last season.

Gibson asked the Patriots’ social media team if he could take home the 2010 Winter Classic jersey when the Bruins defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 2-1 in overtime at Fenway Park.

Jeremy Swayman will get the start in net for Boston. The Bruins goaltender is 7-0-1 against the Canadiens with a 2.49 goals-against average and .909 save percentage in eight career starts.
