PWHL preseason minicamps are a month away, and the Boston Fleet announced their training camp roster.
There were six camp invitees in the 29-player roster for training camp that is scheduled to begin Nov. 12 at Boston Sports Institute. Among the invitees was former Pride captain Jillian Dempsey. The 33-year-old played for Montréal last season and held all-time Premier Hockey Federation records for games played, goals and assists while also leading Boston to three Isobel Cups.
Forwards Kelly Babstock and Amanda Pelkey and goalie Cami Kronish didn’t sign with the Fleet this offseason, but they also received camp invites from Boston. Defender Maude Poulin-Labelle and goalie Klára Peslarová were the other camp invitees. Forward Gigi Marvin announced her PWHL retirement Monday, so that will open up competition for her spot in the lineup.
