It’s been a very rough first half of the 2024 NFL season for Jalen Reagor.

Reagor last month managed to lose his practice squad job with the Patriots, who feature arguably the worst wide receiver corps in the entire league. The 2020 first-round pick left New England in embarrassing fashion, and he picked up where he left off with his new team.

The 25-year-old, who signed with the Chargers one week after his Patriots release, made his Los Angeles debut in Arizona on Monday night. Reagor made an immediate impact when he connected with Justin Herbert on a 41-yard pass halfway through the first quarter, but the highlight quickly turned into a lowlight for the Bolts. Reagor was stripped at the Cardinals’ 3-yard line and fumbled through the end zone, which resulted in a touchback and change of possession.

Such a mistake is never good, but it was amplified when the final whistle sounded at State Farm Stadium. Jim Harbaugh’s side dropped a 17-15 verdict in the desert, so Reagor’s mistake stuck out like a sore thumb after the Chargers’ third loss in four games.

Unsurprisingly, NFL fans teed off on Reagor after his game-changing error. You can find a laundry list of posts about the highly drafted bust by clicking the link here.

Should Reagor find a way to stay on LA’s roster the rest of the way, the Patriots will reunite with the fifth-year pro in Week 17 when it hosts the Chargers.
