The Patriots are starting to get healthier, but two major pieces are still recovering from injuries as preparations began for Sunday’s matchup with the Houston Texans.
New England was without running back Rhamondre Stevenson and safety Kyle Dugger on Wednesday, with nine others listed as limited participants during the first practice of the week at Gillette Stadium. Dugger has been sidelined for over a week with his ankle injury, while Stevenson is nursing a foot injury that occurred in a Week 5 loss to the Miami Dolphins.
K.J. Osborn (shoulder) returned after missing the entirety of last week, joining Kendrick Bourne (knee) in a banged up wide receiver room. The Patriots also have a couple new additions, including center Nick Leverett (ankle) and defensive tackle Davon Godchaux (elbow).
Jabrill Peppers was placed on the Commissioner Exempt List on Wednesday, and will not be allowed to practice or play until his legal situation is resolved.
