The New England Patriots on Tuesday made a series of roster moves shortly after it was reported rookie quarterback Drake Maye will replace Jacoby Brissett behind center.
New England released defensive end Jamree Kromah from the 53-man roster. The Patriots also released guard Jerome Carvin and wide receiver Matt Landers from the practice squad.
New England also signed center Sincere Haynesworth to the practice squad. The 23-year-old Haynesworth originally signed to the New Orleans Saints as a rookie free agent but was released ahead of the roster cutdown.
The Patriots signed Kromah to their 53-man roster from the Chicago Bears practice squad three weeks ago. He was inactive the last three games.
Carvin had two separate stints on the practice squad after he was re-signed last week.
