The Patriots' disastrous 2024 season became even worse Monday morning.
Less than 24 hours after New England's horrific home loss to the Miami Dolphins, multiple outlets reported on Jabrill Peppers' alleged arrest Saturday morning in Braintree, Mass. Peppers, who missed the Week 5 game due to a shoulder injury, reportedly is facing multiple charges, including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
The Patriots put out a statement once the news broke.
"We are aware of an incident involving Jabrill Peppers over the weekend in which the police are currently investigating," the statement read, per the Boston Herald's Doug Kyed. "We will have no further comment at this time."

Peppers has been with New England since signing as a free agent in April 2022. After impressing in his first two seasons with the Patriots, the organization rewarded the 29-year-old with a three-year, $30 million contract in late July. Peppers, a 2017 first-round pick by the Cleveland Browns who played three seasons with the New York Giants before signing in New England, also was voted to be a Patriots team campaign for this season.
The 1-4 Patriots are set to host the 4-1 Houston Texans on Sunday afternoon at Gillette Stadium.
