The New England Patriots are dealing with multiple injuries along their offensive line and reportedly kicked the tires on a veteran free agent.
The Patriots on Tuesday had veteran offensive lineman Jesse Davis in for a workout, as shared by ESPN's Mike Reiss. Davis has played right guard and both tackle positions.
The 6-foot-6, 309-pound Davis played 95 games with 72 starts over the course of seven seasons. He carved out a role for himself with the Miami Dolphins (2017-2021) and played 92% or more of offensive snaps during four of those five seasons.
Davis, however, hasn't played a regular-season snap since 2021 when he played 922 snaps at right tackle and 135 at left guard, per Pro Football Focus.

Davis also spent time with the Seattle Seahawks, New York Jets, Minnesota Vikings, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints. Davis was released by the New Orleans Saints in August ahead of the league's 53-man cutdown.
The workout comes as the Patriots deal with injuries to starting center David Andrews, offensive tackles Vederian Lowe and Caedan Wallace as well as guard Michael Jordan.
