The Patriots broke their six-game losing streak, and a veteran defensive player helped break the team down Sunday.

New England responded after being called out by its head coach and earned a gutsy win over the New York Jets at Gillette Stadium. It wasn’t a perfect win by any means, but multiple players stepped up amid injuries to the team’s top players.

The Patriots released a behind-the-scenes look at the locker room after Sunday’s win. The starting safeties and Jacoby Brissett earned game balls for filling in for Kyle Dugger and Drake Maye, respectively. And with Ja’Whaun Bentley on injured reserve, it was Jonathan Jones who led the team in their iconic “aww yeah” celebration.

“How do we feel about getting the win in Foxboro, Mass.? Aww yeah,” Jones said to his teammates in the Patriots video.

It’s interesting that it was Jones who led the team considering the veteran defensive back has been part of trade speculation. Another player would need to step in if Jones does get dealt before the NFL trade deadline. However, Sunday’s win was New England’s second of the season, so it’s not like it should be picky about postgame celebrations.
