The city of Boston was granted an NWSL expansion team back in September of 2023, six years after the fall of their previous professional team, the Boston Breakers.
On Tuesday morning, Boston’s new team revealed their name and logo: BOS Nation FC.
The new name is an anagram of the word “Bostonian” with black and green as their team colors. The club will now compete in the National Women’s Soccer League in 2026, stationing their home field at the White Stadium in Boston.
