The Boston Bruins face the Montreal Canadiens in their home opener Thursday, and it will mark the regular-season debut of new NESN play-by-play announcer Judd Sirott.
Sirott replaced longtime announcer Jack Edwards, an honor Sirott hopes to carry with him in the next step in his broadcasting career. The new Bruins voice started his media career in Chicago before becoming the radio play-by-play announcer for 98.5 The Sports Hub. Sirott spent seven years as the radio voice for the B’s and cherished his time getting to know Boston and how dedicated the fanbase is to the Black and Gold.
Andy Brickley and Sirott will be in the booth for NESN’s Bruins broadcasts, and the pair are excited to start a new chapter.
After his big announcement, NESN asked Sirott 22 questions about his personal and professional life so that fans could get to know the NESN Bruins play-by-play announcer more.
