Drake Maye enjoyed dinner with special company before the Patriots took off for Miami.
New England’s rookie quarterback spent Friday night with North Carolina head coach Mack Brown, whose Tar Heels were in the area for a matchup with Boston College. Brown was Maye’s head coach for all three of the 22-year-old’s collegiate seasons and helped the signal-caller become the No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Brown took to social media after dining with the Patriots’ franchise cornerstone.
“Was great having Drake stop by for dinner this evening,” So proud of what he’s doing for the Patriots and how he represents Carolina.”
The night out with Maye proved to be the highlight of Brown’s weekend. North Carolina’s win streak was halted at three in Chestnut Hill, where the Eagles rolled to a 41-21 win.

Maye will be hoping for a better result for the Patriots on Sunday when they visit the rival Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium.
