The Penn St. fan was lucky that's all the former All-Pro center did
Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce share a close bond, which was why the eldest Kelce brother had zero tolerance for an idiot college football fan.
ESPN’s “College GameDay” was at Beaver Stadium for the Ohio State-Penn State matchup. Since the game was in Pennsylvania, Jason Kelce was a guest and joined in on the fun on set.
The former All-Pro center walked through campus mobbed by fans. It looked like the 36-year-old wanted to get to the game along with his case of beer. But one fan chose a disgusting way to get his attention.
“Kelce, how does it feel that your brother is a (expletive) for dating Taylor Swift?” a person could be heard shouting in a fan’s video.
After hearing the homophobic slur directed at his brother, the Philadelphia Eagles legend turned around, grabbed the person’s phone and smashed it to the ground. He then picked up the pieces and proceeded to walk away.
The majority of fans on social media, including former New England Patriots defensive end Chris Long, praised Kelce for not only standing up for his brother and Swift but also not allowing someone to casually let a slur go unpunished.
Say whatever you want about Kelce as an ESPN personality, he showed Saturday how great of a person he was.
