The NFL trade deadline is here, and you can get caught up with all the latest in the tracker below.

4 p.m.: A very quiet 30 minutes just came and went … with nothing to report, as of yet. That could very well change shortly as deals trickle in.

One team we’re really eager to hear about: the Patriots. They have been remarkably quiet.

3:28 p.m.: With roughly a half-hour to go, another big-name is on the move, albeit not a very surprising development. The Rams are reportedly sending veteran cornerback Tre’Davious White to the Baltimore Ravens, according to multiple reports.

2:40 p.m.: The Steelers aren’t done, apparently, as they’ve reportedly acquired edge rusher Preston Smith from the Packers, per multiple reports.

1:20 p.m.: The dominoes are starting to fall, and the Pittsburgh Steelers have found their much-needed receiver help in the process.

The Jets are trading wide receiver Mike Williams to the Steelers for a 2025 fifth-round pick, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.

What do you think?  Leave a comment.

Williams has more or less been a non-factor in his first season with the Jets coming off an injury. He struggled to move up the depth chart, a quest that got even more difficult when New York acquired Davante Adams from Las Vegas.

Now, Williams goes to a Steelers team that badly needs receiving help behind George Pickens. Whether adding a big-play threat like Williams to an offense relying on Russell Wilson and/or Justin Fields at quarterback can make a difference, though, remains to be seen.

1:15 p.m.: The full details of the Marshon Lattimore trade have been reported with the Saints doing pretty well for themselves in the return for the cornerback.

From ESPN’s Adam Schefter:

Washington acquires: CB Marshon Lattimore, fifth-round pick
New Orleans acquires: third-round pick, fourth-round pick, sixth-round pick

Lattimore is Pro Football Focus’ 16th-ranked cornerback of players who have played 50% of snaps, and opposing quarterbacks have a 74.4 passer rating targeting him (15th). It’s a huge upgrade for an ascending Washington defense that has struggled in the first half of the season but has shown signs of improvement under Dan Quinn in recent weeks.

12:57 p.m.: It didn’t take long for the Marshon Lattimore smoke to produce fire. He’s on his way to the Washington Commanders, according to multiple reports.

12:40 p.m.: The Chiefs, Commanders and at least two other teams are in the Marshon Lattimore hunt, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.

12:35 p.m.: Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore might ultimately be the best player moved ahead of the deadline.

Veteran NFL insider Josina Anderson says the market for Lattimore is “warming up” with multiple teams involved.

11:55 a.m.: All’s quiet on the trade front for the most part right now, but it would be surprising to see that be an all-day trend for a team like the Patriots. New England should be open to anything, perhaps even buying for the long term, but the Pats also have pieces they could sell off ahead of 4 p.m.

One of those pieces is wide receiver K.J. Osborn, who’s getting interest from multiple teams, including the Los Angeles Chargers, according to Mike Giardi of Boston Sports Journal.

9:57 a.m.: Cowboys owner Jerry Jones revealed Tuesday morning quarterback Dak Prescott was likely headed to injured reserve with a hamstring injury. That’s not enough for Jones and Dallas to believe the season is over, apparently, as the Cowboys have reportedly struck a deal for receiving help.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Cowboys are acquiring wideout Jonathan Mingo from the Carolina Panthers. Here are the reported terms, per Schefter:

Dallas acquires: WR Jonathan Mingo, seventh-round pick
Carolina acquires: fourth-round pick

The years in which those picks are slated to be made hasn’t been reported yet.

Mingo, a second-round pick out of Ole Miss last season, has been a relative non-factor in an anemic Panthers offense. He has just 12 catches on 26 targets in nine games this season with Bryce Young and Andy Dalton in the Panthers’ revolving quarterback door. He has yet to catch a touchdown in his career.

9:15 a.m.: Ask anyone who knows anything what the Detroit Lions would look to do ahead of the draft, and you’d probably get a strong consensus: bolster the pass rush.

If Detroit has any weakness, it’s the defense, and those problems were compounded when the Lions lost Aidan Hutchinson for the season. The Lions wasted little time addressing that deficiency on deadline day, striking a deal with Cleveland for one of the top pass rushers available.

No, not Myles Garrett. But Detroit did reportedly land veteran rusher Za’Darius Smith in a swap with the Browns for next to nothing.

Detroit acquires: DE Za’Darius Smith, 2026 seventh-round pick
Cleveland acquires: 2025 fifth-round pick, 2026 sixth-round pick

Smith is in the midst of a bounce-back season. His five sacks are just a half-sack below his total from a season ago and looks like he’s more on pace with the production he showed from 2019 to 2022 when he averaged 12 sacks per season with Green Bay and Minnesota (not counting a 2021 campaign in which he played just one game).

9 a.m. ET: It’s not just election day in America; the NFL trade deadline is upon us, too.

The last real chance for teams to make a push for the stretch run comes Tuesday ahead of a 4 p.m. ET deadline. There has already been some activity in the weeks and days leading up to now, but deadlines spur action, and teams around the league have their chance to strike for the second half of the season.

We’ll be following it all right here with the latest news, rumors and analysis for each significant move made ahead of the Tuesday afternoon deadline.
