Drake Maye had another round of highs and lows on Sunday as he plays out his rookie campaign with the New England Patriots.

He sent the game to overtime with a last-second touchdown as the Patriots tied the game against the Tennessee Titans. The quarterback did have a trio of turnovers, including a final interception to Amani Hooker that ended the game in the extra period. The Patriots rookie recognized his mistakes and anticipates future adjustments.

“Yeah, first down and I see the safety, and I think throwing into the wind I got to put some more on it and just a dumb decision,” Maye told reporters, per team-provided transcript. “Something you’d like to have back, and especially in that situation where we could go at least tie it up. We’re, like I said, on our own 40, and you know sometimes the best play is to throw it away and that was a bad decision on my part.”

Maye tossed the lone touchdown on 29-of-41 for 206 passing yards with 95 more on the ground for the Patriots.

Maye faces a fellow 2024 first-rounder in Week 10 when the Patriots visit Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears.
